The tax collector receives and issues receipts for real estate and personal taxes for the township, county, and school district, as well as issuing duplicate copies of tax bills and tax certifications.
Office hours are held weekly at the Milford Township Municipal building in the meeting room where we vote.
Normal Office Hours: (February through October)
8:15a to 6:15p on Thursdays

When possible please save the cost of a stamp and ensure that your payment is received on time by using the 24 hour dropbox through the mail slot in the door. This slot is weatherproof and goes into a locked dropbox inside the building. Please write Tax Collector on the outside of your envelope and include a stamped return envelope if you need a receipt. .

Please note that discounts and penalties for mailed payments are recorded by the postmark on the envelope which is often days later from when it was sent. When mailing payments within two weeks of the due date, you should take the mail into the post office counter and request a manual/local postmark. Tax Certifications:
Tax Certification is offered to provide a legal document certified by the Tax Collector that serves as proof of payment of a tax bill(s) for a specific parcel. The Tax Certification Fee is $15.00 per parcel paid in advance. Checks should be made payable to Milford Township Tax Collector. Requests can be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope, or be picked up during Tax Collector office hours (listed above) once complete.
Duplicate Bill Requests:
Requests for a duplicate real estate tax bill must include the property owner’s name, address, and the parcel number of the property. The Duplicate Bill Fee is $5.00 per parcel paid in advance. Checks should be made payable to Milford Township Tax Collector. Duplicates can be emailed, picked up during office hours listed, or mailed if the request is accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
